A Message from the Vice-President of Academic Development

While speaking to the Christians in Rome, the apostle Paul informed them "God doesn't take back the gifts he has given or forget about the people he has chosen (Rm 11:29 CEV). This assurance of being called by God must have been very encouraging to Christians of that day and time. I know those words have been very reassuring to me as I've strived to be a positive witness and capable Christian worker. Paul also admonished one of his young apprentices, Timothy, to study to show himself approved unto God, a worker who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (paraphrased from 2 Tm 2:16 KJV). Jesus also weighed in on the subject by clarified that studying the scriptures was in no way as important as having an understanding of the meaning of what was being studied (Jn 5:39).

Moriah was conceived from a conviction to provide Christian men and women with access to post-secondary educational tools and resources in order to help them to grow, develop, and realize their full potential in the kingdom of God. A practical distinction of Moriah is the flexibility by which you can acquire your training and ultimately your degree. We offer live intensive weekend seminars with renowned instructors, video teaching presented at local sites, homestudy courses you can take at your own pace, special emphasis courses offered exclusively at local host sites, and on-line courses engaging students from around the globe. We are using time tested, proven techniques, along with contemporary technologies, to equip the church for the work of the ministry.

All this has been designed with one goal in mind – to help you develop and strengthen your gifts according to the calling God has placed upon you in His kingdom. I encourage you to become part of our student body!
